According to the preliminary estimate from Statistics Netherlands regarding third quarter growth in 2015, Dutch GDP grew by 0.1% compared to the previous quarter. This figure was lower than we expected.

In its second estimate, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) has made an upward adjustment for Dutch economic growth in the second quarter of 2015. This does not change our picture of the Dutch economy: we expect broad based economic growth in 2015 and 2016.

Germany: higher growth, but the risks are increasing

We expect the German economy to grow by 1¾% in 2015 and 2% in 2016. However, an escalation of the refugee problem, spread of the emissions scandal at Volkswagen to other car manufacturers and more negative news on the performance of the Chinese economy could affect the solid base of the German economy.
