Monika is Climate and Environmental Economist within the Regions, Innovation, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship (RISE) team of RaboResearch and is based in The Netherlands.
Before joining Rabobank, Monika worked as a CGE model developer (both technical and conceptual) for Wageningen University & Research, focusing on issues relating to food and agriculture. She also has experience as a postdoc at Stanford University in the United States, where she worked with colleagues in the Earth System Science department, on bridging the gap between economics and climate models. Her research experience in India involved working on WTO-related issues and agricultural commodity markets for the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations.
She received her PhD from Purdue University (Center for Global Trade Analysis) in the United States and holds a Master's degree from the Delhi School of Economics in India.
